The DS range is the standard series of servos from CHA, even though its called standard they did not skimp on features often toted as "premium" with other brands, part metal casing for durability, hardened steel gearing and a coreless motor with 2 ball bearing support.
The DS165 is an extremely robust 16.5mm mini format servo with respectable performance characteristics. With a holding force of up to 9 kg at 8.4V and a super fast 0.055sec/60 the DS165 series is positioned at just the right place for a wide variety of models requiring a smaller format servo that still packs a decent punch.
We recommend this servo for models up to 1.8m including Jets and Gliders up to 3m, this servo is also regularly used in helicopters for cyclic and tail control due to its high speed and accuracy.
