Regulatory Compliance Statement
At Hammerhead RC, we are committed to ensuring that all products we supply meet the applicable Australian regulations for radiocommunications and electronic safety. We take compliance seriously and follow the requirements set out by the Australian Communications and Media Authority (ACMA).
ACMA Responsible Supplier
Hammerhead RC is a registered Responsible Supplier with the ACMA. This registration allows us to legally apply the Regulatory Compliance Mark (RCM) to applicable products, confirming they meet Australian standards for:
- Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC)
- Electromagnetic Energy (EME) exposure (when applicable)
- Radiocommunications licensing (LIPD Class Licence)
Hammerhead RC is listed as a Responsible Supplier in the ACMA national database (Supplier No: E20169).
International Test Reports and Equivalence
Australian regulations allow the use of international compliance reports to demonstrate conformity, provided the product operates within permitted parameters and is not modified from its certified design. Hammerhead RC uses valid test reports and certifications from recognised bodies such as the FCC (USA) and CE (Europe) to meet these requirements.
All FrSky transmitters and modules we supply are tested to FCC Part 15.247 standards and fall within the Australian LIPD Class Licence limits for frequency and radiated power. These products are operated as tested and documented, using original internal RF modules and antennas.
Not In-Scope for EESS
FrSky transmitters, receivers, and servos are classified as not in-scope under the Electrical Equipment Safety System (EESS). These devices:
- Are battery-powered
- Do not connect to mains power
- Present no defined electrical safety risk under AS/NZS 4417.2
As such, EESS registration is not required for the equipment we sell.
Our Compliance Practices
For every radio system or RF module we supply, Hammerhead RC:
- Maintains copies of FCC/CE test reports and manufacturer declarations
- Labels applicable products with the RCM or includes it on the packaging
- Ensures each unit is configured to meet LIPD limits (e.g. 2.4GHz under 1W EIRP)
- Warns users that unauthorised modification or third-party modules may invalidate compliance
Requesting Documentation
If you require specific compliance documentation (e.g. FCC reports, declarations of conformity), please contact us. We're happy to provide supporting materials for any equipment we've supplied.
